Systems Auditor

As a Systems Auditor at Hessons, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the effectiveness, security, and compliance of organizational IT systems and processes. You will play a critical role in identifying risks, improving system efficiency, and ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses a strong understanding of IT systems and auditing practices, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and risks in IT systems, providing recommendations to mitigate potential threats.
  • Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of system controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with IT and management teams to implement recommended improvements.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in IT auditing and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems auditing, IT auditing, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or similar are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with auditing frameworks and standards, such as COBIT, ISO 27001, or NIST.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in audit tools and technologies.
