Monitoring and Evaluation Trainer

We are hiring an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Trainer to deliver professional
training assignments and strengthen practical M&E capability across organisations and
programme teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical competence,
practical facilitation ability, sound professional judgement, and the ability to translate M&E
concepts into usable systems, tools, and reporting outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical training in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning.
  • Facilitate sessions on theories of change, results frameworks, logframes, indicators,
    and performance measurement.
  • Train participants on data collection, data quality, analysis, interpretation, and
    reporting.
  • Guide the development of M&E plans, tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Develop relevant training materials, exercises, case studies, and participant
    assessments.
  • Adapt delivery to different organisational contexts and participant profiles.
  • Produce professional training reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Economics,
    Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years’ progressive experience in monitoring, evaluation, research,
    programme management, or related assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Monitoring and Evaluation training to
    professional or organisational teams.
  • ]Strong competence in results frameworks, theories of change, logframes,
    indicators, data quality, evaluation methods, and reporting.
  • Practical capability in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Power BI, KoboToolbox, SPSS, Stata, R, DHIS2, or related platforms
    will be an added advantage.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and participant-engagement skills.
